About Me

My path didn’t start with a finance degree or a Silicon Valley pitch deck.

I grew up in Texas, where I kicked things off with a few years of rodeoing before landing in the payments world. That early experience taught me how to handle risk, stay grounded, grit and perseverance—all traits I’ve carried with me into boardrooms, banks, and startups.

Over the course of my career, I’ve held senior roles at multiple financial institutions and at multiple high-growth fintech ventures. Most recently, I hold leadership positions at Pillar Payments and TransactCare, companies that I co-founded along with some other industry veterans.

But Fintech U came from a bigger idea—one I couldn’t ignore.

After years of building fintech platforms, leading product and strategy, and scaling real revenue, I kept running into people who were smart, motivated, and entrepreneurial… but completely overwhelmed by the complexity of fintech. Most had no idea how the infrastructure worked—or how much opportunity sat right beneath the surface.

Fintech U is my way of changing that.

This platform is built for people who want to launch high-margin businesses in the fintech space—even if they’re not developers, not ex-bankers, and not technical. I teach the models, frameworks, and playbooks I’ve used and refined through real-world execution. Think: embedded payments, SaaS overlays, vendor arbitrage, invoice-to-cash systems, and reseller strategies that don’t require you to start from scratch.

I live in the Chicagoland area with my wife and our four amazing kids. I’m a builder at heart—I love creating companies, assembling high-performance teams, and turning operational chaos into structured scale. But more than that, I care about helping others create meaningful work and long-term value in an industry that’s often locked behind jargon, gatekeepers and big tech.
